Chapter meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month, and the start time has been moved back to allow everyone time to attend.
If you are interested in attending any of the events below, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details. We’d love to have an opportunity to meet you!
January 22, 2022, 10:00am – 1:00pm: Strategic Planning Meeting at Kavita’s house. Please contact us for more information, we’d love for you to attend and help us plan the next year. This is a time to meet each other and to discuss/plan the year’s events in a casual setting in Simpsonville SC. If you can’t be there the entire time, feel free to drop by when you get a minute! There is plenty of room to social distance. We will have food and drink.
January 28, 2022, 3:00pm – 4:15pm: Jennie is our Block Kids Chair and she has been working hard to get this event organized. The group has around 30 elementary students who will be given a bag with the same Legos, rock, string, aluminum foil and paper plate. They have to construct something from those items. We need YOU to walk around and talk to these kids as they build. (Don’t worry, we provide a list of questions to use.) We will have judges to select the winners. It’s an amazing time listening to their stories and imaginations! You will be required to wear a mask and follow the school’s COVID protocol. Location – Summit Elementary, Greenville, SC. Please let Jennie know if you are planning to attend by emailing email@example.com.
TBD February 2022 11:45am – 1:00pm: NAWIC Palmetto has partnered with WTS South Carolina to host Leslie Clark of the CAGC for an update on infrastructure construction. They have invited us to join either in person or virtually. This was originally scheduled for January, but due to COVID concerns has moved to a future date in February. RSVP will be required at their Website (https://www.nawicpalmetto.org/meetings) when they determine a final date – keep checking for this in February!
March 5, 2022: Community service event making lunch for Triune Mercy Center ministry. Details to follow when the date is finalized.
SPECIAL NOTE A FRIEND:
As many of you know our former NAWIC member and friend Wanda Smith has cancer. I have been trying to help her as others like Janet O ’Rear have offered Wanda much needed support but realize she needs many things. I thought of starting a go fund me for Wanda for many reasons but the main one was I knew she would never ask for help but needed it. If you have any to spare; please support Wanda. She has a long rode back and likely won’t be back at work until next year. This past week has been very hard for Wanda due to the side effects of the therapy.
The link is below and I thank you in advance. Please pray for Wanda; her family and last but not least her friend Janet O ‘Rear.
Please forward this link to anyone that might want to see this. Thank you,
